Hi, I’m Kate Tune, LMFT
Founder of Wildroot Relationship Therapy & Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist
I became a therapist because I believe that no one should have to bear their deepest pain alone. My goal is to create an actively warm, attuned, and brave space where we can lean into hard emotions together, processing them in real-time so you can step out of survival mode and step into your natural resilience.
I bring a blend of clinical expertise, advanced specialized training, and active, human-to-human engagement to the therapy room. You can expect a space grounded in warm empathy, clinical excellence, and direct, compassionate candor. As a Certified EFT therapist specializing in both couples and individuals (EFIT), I am passionate about treating relational trauma, clearing chronic loneliness, and helping clients move from feeling stuck to feeling liberated.
Living and working in the Fox Valley area, I understand the unique pressures facing local families and professionals—the fast pace, the heavy commutes, and the high-stakes balancing acts. I designed Wildroot to be a sanctuary where you can finally slow down, let your guard down, and do the deep work that matters.
Cultivating the Field
In addition to my clinical work, I am deeply passionate about supporting the next generation of mental health professionals. As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor in training, I provide clinical supervision for associate-level therapists (ALMFTs, LPCs, and LSWs) who want to master attachment-based, experiential modalities (like EFT, EFIT, and AEDP) and build strong professional roots of their own.
Individual Therapy: Healing the Self (EFIT & AEDP)
